Weymouth, MA Commercial and Washington Streets, Sacred Heart Church, approx. 2230 hrs 6/9/2005. A boiler malfunction is reported to have started a fire that eventually went to 7 alarms and destroyed the Sacred Heart Church. The building, typical late 19th/early 20th Roman Catholic church construction for the area was approximately 200 X 100, and about 4 stories tall, with the steeple rising to approximately 6 stories. Collapse zones were established early in the fire, as it became obvious that interior attacks were not going to be successful, and there would be a lot of stress placed on the building.
