Boston, MA 461 Park Drive, approx. 0800 hrs. 3/18/02. Six alarms were transmitted on box 232 in quick succession for a fast moving fire in a three story brick duplex structure that was under renovation following a four alarm fire nine months ago. The fire was through the roof upon the arrival of the first due companies, who were ordered off the roof within 10 minutes of arrival, and all companies were ordered out of the building within twenty minutes of the initial alarm.

Queens, NY 87-16 117 St. approx 2120 hrs. 2/7/02. Squad 270 transmitted a 10-75 upon arrival for a fire in a 1-1/2 story brick and wood dwelling. Squad 270, backed up by Engine 294 stretched two lines through the front door, and quickly knocked the fire down. An additional Engine and Truck were special called above the 10-75.

Natick, MA 8 and 10 Algonquin Drive approx. 0230 hrs 12/20/01. A third alarm assignment was required to bring a fire in a large luxury duplex under control. The building, an unusual configuration, was approximately 75' X 30' and varied from one story in the center to 2-1/2 stories on each end. It appears that the fire started in the garage of number 10, and spread in each direction. As I left the scene, the State Fire Marshal was investigating the cause.

Queens, NY approx. 0215 hours 11/25/01. Engine 303 and Ladder 126 arrived first due to box 8818, to find a heavy fire condition in the rear of a 1-1/2 story occupied wood frame structure at the intersection of 107 Av and 134 St. An additional Engine and Truck were special called above the 10-75 to help bring the fire under control.
