Boston, MA Approx. 0120 hrs. 7/11/02 47 Topeka St. First due companies found a heavy fire condition in a metal clad building that was approximately 200' X 80'. A second alarm was sounded due to access problems and the volume of fire. The building housed the city's "Project Pride" program, which is responsible for seizing abandoned properties in the city and making them suitable for re-occupancy. A body was found among the debris during overhaul, and was not identified as of the posting of these photos.

Swampscott, MA Approx. 0645 hrs 7/7/02 11 Commonwealth Terrace. 2 Alarms were required to bring a Sunday morning fire under control. The fire burned through the roof of the 2-1/2 story wood frame structure, and required an exterior attack before companies could move in for a more aggressive attack. The fire started around 0645 hours, and these photos are from approximately 0730 hours.

Gloucester, MA, 2 Ocean Avenue approx. 1145 hrs. 6/1/02. 4 Alarms were quickly sounded for a fire that reportedly started in an air conditioner. The fire took full possession of the third floor of a garden style apartment building, approximately 250' X 70', forcing companies into a defensive master stream operation.
