Brockton, MA 91 North Main Street approx 0140 hrs. A working fire was called on arrival, and an additional engine special called for a fire in a 1 story brick commercial building, 70 X 40. The fire was running in the cockloft, and took a good amount of opening up by the truck companies before it was located.

Taunton, MA Winthrop St. approx. 2000 hrs 2/28/04. The Shift Commander of the Taunton fire department signed off with the statement "We have a major incident" for a fire in the Barron Brothers furniture store. The building was 100 X 100, 4 stories in height, and reported to be full of furniture. A General Alarm was quickly sounded, and mutual aid responded from many surrounding communities.

Boston, MA 38 Whiting Av. approx 0830 hrs. 1/22/04. Boston Police officers on routine patrol came across a building fire in a 2-1/2 story wood frame. First arriving companies were met with a heavy fire condition from the second floor and attic. A working fire response was required to bring the fire under control.

Newton, MA 24 Shirley St. approx. 1500 hrs. 1/9/04. Firefighters battled both a fire in a large 2-1/2 story wood frame dwelling that originated in the basement and sub-freezing temperatures with wind chills of -10F.
