approximately 2015 hours on Saturday February 24, 2024, Medford Fire Alarm struck Box 33 for a reported building fire at 3 Pleasant St. Engine 4, the first due engine, reported smoke showing from a large 2-1\/2 story wood frame dwelling upon arrival. A steady breeze and balloon frame construction resulted in the fire quickly taking full posession of the building, requiring a defensive posture to be taken by firefighters. 2nd and 3rd alarms were quickly sounded, bringing firefighters from Malden, Arlington and Chelsea to the fire and several others to cover assignments.
